Book Description
Hyro's mother promised him a magical world his father created just for them, but before she could take him there, she died and left him all alone. Years later, Hyro awakens in the middle of the night to find a mouse with button eyes under his bed. This mouse leads him to an old man between sitting between two fires who sends him spiraling into a strange but familiar magical world. There, he meets his father for what feels like the first time and is tasked with a valiant quest to turn his own world into a paradise. Yet not all is as it seems. Such beauty, comes at a price.
From his adventures will come a magical world filled with talking roses, tall tall castles, deep dark caves, beastly dragons, and a terrible monster called the canker. Join Hyro as he learns how to find wonder in everyday life and recognize the precious memories we all take for granted, each one more tender than the last.

"I think a lot of young readers will enjoy this book and find Hyro relatable. He has to overcome hardship and loss, but he also has his faith renewed...Hyro's adventure takes him on a quest, but then just like his name, he discovers something special about himself...he can be a real hero."
